Muggy

Oh how I love the AC in my shop on days like this! I feel as fresh as a daisy, when I see hot and bothered people walk by (and occasionally come in to) the shop.

My shop is located downtown, but not in the busy part. Next to me there's only lawyers and...well, lawyers. And while I have nothing against lawyers, they don't exactly attract large groups of people looking to shop-til-they-drop. So I have to do that all by myself, which is not always easy. Sooo....I just got a call from another shop owner, on another street which is more busy than mine. They are relocating, and wanted to let me know first. So, if I really wanted, I could probably get that spot. It's a good spot, but not great. Better than I have now, but not perfect. Oooo...woe me. If I only knew what to do. It's a pain in the *beep* to relocate a shop, sign a new lease, have new business cards printed, and what have you. So it really has to be worth it. So is it? Hmmm...well, I certainly have something to think about during the weekend, that's for sure.

In the knitting department: I have one quarter of the Dolman done. It's so fast to knit, in the beginning. The sweater is made up of 4 quarters; right front + half arm, right back + half arm, etc. So the the first 25 cm is just 41 stitches wide stockinette, but then you cast on a million (or so) more stitches for the arm and suddenly it takes forever to knit a row. But that's ok. I love the yarn. And it's still fairly quick to knit, compared to the Garnstudio cardigan. I have also just finished the heel of the broken cable socks, that I LOVE to knit. It's such fun to knit socks!! Try it!
